We hope you had a joyful Waking Dream! To those of you who joined us for a playadate adventure, thank you so much.
We’re not sure what’s next for us — maybe we’ll organize Playadate events at regional burns, or in cities with sizeable burner communities.
If you want to keep in touch, hear about upcoming events, send us feedback about your playadates, etc — we’d love to hear from you. Please send an email to [email protected] .
See you in the dust!

One of the things we love most about Burning Man is chance meetings that grow into sessions of shared exploration.
Have you ever met someone in line for pizza and then spent the afternoon bicycling around to art installations together?
Have you ever gotten separated from your friends at a sound camp and spent the rest of the night with a new dance crew that you met on the floor?
We call such chance encounters “playadates”. Camp Playadate’s mission is to help spark these serendipitous friendships.
Find the Playadate banner at Center Camp at 3pm on Wednesday, August 31st; Thursday, September 1st; or Friday, September 2nd.
We’ll connect you with new friends and send you off on a whimsical, fun, uniquely Burning Man quest. The quest will be different each day, so feel free to come again and again.
And on Saturday, we’ll host a day party at Camp Playadate to celebrate your adventures.
3pm until whenever y’all part ways.

Playadate is not a romantic dating app or a matchmaking service. We put small groups of friends together for unique playa adventures that are grounded in the ten principles.
The Immediacy, Radical Inclusion, and Participation are what it’s all about. Your fellow playadate participants are like any new friends you might meet on the playa.
Openness, kindness, and respect are essential, but there are no other expectations. Whether you hang out for an hour or become friends for life is up to you.
Yes, please bring a bicycle or similar vehicle. Playadate quests will span the playa.
That’s up to you and your companions. Expect the main quests we send you on to last about an hour, but the side quests you take during or after are up to you.
Advance signups are now closed, but you can still walk in. Find the Playadate banner at Center Camp at 3pm on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.
No one except for you.
Anything you need for a daytime adventure away from your camp: bikes, water, cups, ID, the usual.
Yes! The quests we send you on will be different each day, and you’ll be paired with new folks each playadate.
If your crew is larger than three, we recommend that you split up into smaller groups. This helps us limit playadate size and makes it easier for you to connect with new friends!
